Swinging SuperHero parties on the swing! Super Hero to the rescue (on a rope!!)

Hmm..no pun intended out here. This blog is seriously about animation 'o' logy!
This is my one of college time 2d work ! Yepp a man swinging on a swing (well more like a rope instead).
Alrighty, one thing to note about this is, the man is swinging without losing out any Kinetic Energy.
Er..What?
Yep, i.e. the swing doesn't slow down.
(yea please pardon my fashion quotient out here for dressing him up in just an undie, I took too much of inspiration from superheroes I believe)
Again, this is a low res video.

flight of a thought on a pencil!!

This bird flight I did while in college. Traditional animation is lot more fun than 3D.
There's lots and lots of things possible and they are so much fun!!
This is I believe my second piece of work after I finished the walk cycle for the horse.
Fascinating thing is its no fancy software trick nor any fancy instrument. This is just a pencil flying around your thoughts..imagination..
Here's a low res video for this.

moving pictures and persistence of vision..

This is one of my earliest works when I was studying the art of traditional animation in college.
(its a low res version)
I guess its very very important to understand the underlying concept of animation which is replication through observation.
Its only through observation that a clip of some character/s doing some thing on the screen comes to life.
And yea..observation is just persistance  :)

Irony ironed out!!

Yes its pretty ironical, both these gentlemen have come to share a single page!
Alright here's the second installment of the caricatures I did.
Well, personally I believe an 'Irony' is one of the most powerful figures of speech....
It remarkably illustrates the concept of peaceful co-existence.
The Irony in this is that these statements about peace and harmony tend to be too good to be
true.

That does iron out the irony  :)

twisted smiles and distorted vision!!

Yep!! These are very well depicted in Caricatures..
I did quite a few caricatures some time back..and it definitely was fun!
I'll be posting these one at a time..
Here's the first two caricatures..
(Akshaye Khanna, Fardeen Khan)

Talking about twisted smiles eh??

My side of perspective..*I watch Watchmen*

Alright, I'm almost done going through 'Watchmen'.
I must say considering the fact that it came out around 1986-1987, the visuals and
composition and compelling and highly innovative. Its simply inspiring and nothing less.
The storyline is pretty Non-Linear jumping around the characters and their life.
It sets a perfect example in building a strong storyline and character development.
Although the characters have been said to be inspired by few other characters (from belonging to charlton comics, which was then acquired by DC), they have strong prominence and individuality.

I feel its extensively touching almost every aspect of life such as Science, Human nature, Society,
Social degradation, Moral degradation, THEOLOGY and PHYSICS implemented in our life.
I'm yet to finish the book, so better get back at it.

WATCHMEN!!

I have just started reading Watchmen and its looking really cool. It has that vintage style soaked in it and to see that after such a long time is an absolute delight.
The story is very tightly knit, the characters are developed real nice, and
absolutely Innovative angles and perspectives in the composition of art.
Considering its pretty old, such innovation is really worth appreciating.

I have reched the second chapter and DAMN!! its addictive.
I am also expecting the movie to be as big a classic as the graphic novel inspite
of being aware of the mixed reviews its collected from the audience.
Lets hope for the best..  :)
*who will watch the WATCHMEN*
I would  :)

few concepts and flight of imagination!!

I'm now sort of officially kicking off this blog!!
Its been quite some time before I could have posted
anything out here..(busy schedules dont really help in this)
I'm an animator by profession and have worked in quite a few
projects of national and international acclaim.

I have put up this blog to better facilitate my reach across this vast
cyber space and to keep publishing my personal projects online.

I love sketching illustrations, designs, caricatures etc. when time permits.
